Hey everyone,
It's been a while between posts. Been busy working and yes... scrapping. Although I can't share anything I've been working on. I actually thought I'd consider submitting to the annual Scrapbooking Memories Masters this year. I have absolutely no expectations of getting anywhere... but an honourable mention might be a nice surprise at best. It's more for the challenge for myself since it's been a bit of a quiet period for me with scrapping due to the exhaustion pregnancy has caused. I have 3 projects done... with the canvas left to do but time is running out. So we'll see if I make it in time. I am loving my 3 layouts so far though.
But until then, here is a quick sneak of one of my A2Z scraplets DT layouts:
Now onto something more related to my post title. Today my lovely parents took me for a trip to Ikea. How I love Ikea! Wish it wasn't an hour or so away from my house lol
Thanks to the cruel addictive nature of Pinterest and my obsession with designing a stylish nursery that may even be pin worthy (LOL), I had some ideas for some accessories I wanted from Ikea. So I kinda had this idea of getting a mini chandelier after seeing one in a nursery on Pinterest. Crazy... cos what baby needs a light fitting that fancy. Well I didn't get a chandelier but I got a pretty flashy light fitting anyway:
Isn't it pretty? And how it will sparkle. At least its yet another feminine touch to my blue nursery. I also got a mirror that looks like something straight out of a fairy tale:
Isn't it gorgeous? haha Totally non-essential nursery items but it really is looking awesome. I did get some normal baby items too like cot bedding and rugs etc. I just hope the splashes of pink go well with the blue, white and dark wood colours.
Now for a recent bump picture, stolen from my mum's facebook after their visit today:
Anyway, hope you're having a great weekend. Will share some scrappy stuff in the near future. Or at least, following a retreat on the weekend of the 10th. Can't wait!

Wicked Princesses - All A Flutter Kit
Hi all,
Here are a few quick shares using the fabulous All A Flutter kit instore now at Wicked Princesses. This kit is huge. I also made 3 cards (but forgot to photograph) and still have bits and pieces left over for more cards or use with other future layouts. Such lovely papers and embellishments too, that worked for a wide variety of themes.
Only problem is I was having an incapable photography day so the photos really do not do it justice. No idea what I was doing that day. I think it was something to do with bad light, and holding the camera too far away from the page lol Oops! Sorry in advance for that.
Thanks for visiting and be sure to check out the great kits in store at Wicked Princesses or come join in on some of the fabulous challenges in the forum.

Nursery Progress
Hi all
So I am officially half way through my pregnancy and feeling so much better than that horrid first trimester. I still get tired pretty easy and eat like a horse haha But otherwise the nesting instinct has kicked in.
My nursery now has some lovely furniture in it and now that we know we are having a baby girl, I have started with converting my blue nursery into something pretty and feminine. Here is where we are at so far:

The cot
The dresser/change table
Wall decals
There is also a glider rocking chair with matching ottoman that is in a similar colouring to the furniture. And I am proud to say I built the furniture all myself from flat pack. Yes... it took forever... but I managed lol!
It's come a long way from the junk room this once was, but still a long way to go. Lucky I have another 20 weeks approximately to get it perfect. Oh... and the rest of the house that suffered as a result of emptying the room out. So much fun though.
Hopefully tonight I'll actually get some scrapbooking done for a change. Hubby is out so I need something fun to do in his absence.
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend

It's a Girl...
Today we had our 19 week ultrasound and not long did everything look to be coming along nice and smoothly, we also got to find out that we are having a baby ...
GIRL!!!
So incredibly excited. I was convinced we were having a boy but always wanted a daughter so am totally over the moon. Simon had guessed girl all along and in this instance, I was happy for him to win the bet lol
We had a bit of fun announcing the news to our family and friends with the above pics. Unfortunately I could not find a plain white shirt or a pink scarf so I had to make do with the things I could find lol
And we purchased our first girl specific baby items. Pink doesn't seem to be in fashion in Target right now... Red and peach were more prominent. However the little frilly mini mouse outfit was too cute for words to pass up on. Will be cute over Christmas.
And some close up face shots from our Ultrasound :) Isn't technology amazing these days?
I will be sharing the winner of my prize from the A2Z Blog hop soon so stay tuned.

So it begins...
Hey there
Welcome to all my lovely new blog followers. Hope those of you who joined in had some fun hopping along with the A2Z Scraplets blog hop. Thank you for all your lovely comments to those of you who did visit xo
So my nesting instinct has started to kick in now that I have energy back during this pregnancy. This weekend I completely emptied out the spare bedroom that will be our nursery. Some of you may remember a recent post with a room that looked a little something like this:
Well it is now minus the wall hangings. But the cute little 4 drawer cupboard is now in the cupboard, since it won't match my dark wood nursery furniture. But at least the room is otherwise empty and the carpet has been vacuumed and steamed today. Ready for the nursery to start coming together.
My nursery furniture will be the following package:
It consists of a 7 drawer dresser that has a change table attachment that is removable for later on and a sleigh cot with an under draw that converts to a toddler or day bed later on. Cannot wait until they arrive. So pretty!
And I also have one of these comfy looking glider rockers arriving sometime in the next day or two. The cream and dark brown wood one at the bottom:
How fabulous will they look in our nursery? I am so excited. But I do have to start getting the rest of the house orderly again too. But to help that along, I did buy a new display unit and cupboard to help manage some of our clutter. I am a hoarder. Hopefully the nesting will make me strict in my cull over coming months lol
So we are getting pretty organised for the baby now. A couple of items left to get but most of the big stuff is organised. My lovely parents got us a pram today too. An apple green one to match my car hehe
I am 18 weeks now and on Saturday we get to find out what gender our baby will be. I know a surprise would be fun and up until maybe a year ago, I would have agreed but being the first, we decided we wanted to be completely organised and be a little gender specific with what we buy. And I really hate yellow so this avoids lots of that awful gender neutral colour LOL
Anyway, thanks for popping by. I have a few scrappy shares for later on this week and there will be some blog hop winner announcements!

Pretty shocking, I know. Well after much effort and a process of making the rest of my house look much much worse, this particular room now looks like this:
