Digital Baby Album Weeks 44 & 45

Hello

I cannot believe my little miss is nearing 12 months already. This year has flown by, it feels like it was only yesterday she was born. But at the same time, it feels like she has been apart of my life forever.

There are lots of things I need to get done before her 1st birthday... like planning her party, doing a few crafty related projects such as invites and decorations and creating some digital fun for her birthday, such as a video with snippets of her first year. And of course finishing her baby album so I can get it printed before Christmas. Ahhhh.... lol

At least here are 2 more completed pages for the album.

Both pages are using a mixture of Becky Higgins project life Blush, midnight and baby neutral kits, with Becky Higgins and Lori Whitlock page templates.

Thanks for popping by. I am off to start working on all those tasks I just listed lol

September layouts with Polly! Scrap PL Kit

Hello

Holly here to share a couple of my recent PL pages using the last Polly! kit. There are so many awesome die cut pocket fillers in this kit. I just love them to give the page something pretty and visual in a place where you might not have enough photos or in case your page is photo heavy like mine usually are, and you want to add something to break it up a little.

I still have to add in my weekly review on week 39 but am being a bit of a slacker this week so I will do that later, hence the white card. I keep track daily of what happens in the Day One journal app on my iPad. It's fabulous!

Thanks for looking.

Scrapmatts September DT creations

Hello everyone,

One of this months DT challenges at Scrapmatts was something bright and colourful... perfect! I would once have cringed at the thought of doing something like that as I used to prefer darker/neutral colours and a shabby chic style but how things have changed. These days colourful is my favourite way to scrapbook :)

Materials: Echo park papers; Jillibean soup polaroid; Dymo labeller, Scrapmatts chipboard; FF dots; mini stapler; WRMK Stitcher; twine.

And some Christmas ATC. I can admit even now I don't really understand the purpose of an ATC but I created some anyway lol Not sure if I got it right but at least there are lots of cute little scrapmatts just perfect for these little ATC chipboards.

Scrapmatts chipboard; Kaisercraft mini pad

Thanks for visiting.

Starting to Catch Up

Hello
Since I discovered project in January, I have wanted to go back and Project Life style record everything. Unfortunately there are not enough hours in the day to do every album I want to do, but I have made a start on quite a few, including 2012 yearly album.

Unfortunately 2012 started with an extreme high before turning into an extreme low with some personal tragedy. October is the month of pregnancy and infant loss, so I suppose it is fitting I start to share these pages in October as that is the tragedy that we faced in February 2012. However in April 2012 we were back on a tentative high with news of expecting again.

Although I am creating this album well aware of what happened, I wanted to record it as if it were happening rather than in retrospect so I have documented the first pregnancy step by step like I would if it were happening now instead. The sad stuff is something I have started but put on hold again for a bit but I will tackle those pages too.

Here are a few of the pages so far:

I did not take nearly as many photographs back in 2012 and before compared to now. That's what PL does to you. Suddenly you photograph everything in site.... just in case! So instead of doing a weekly 2012 album, it is more event based.

I am pretty amazed in such a short time how much more advanced my digital skills are compared to these pages. Actually, its probably more my improved photography skills. Things have gone a long way... since that photography lesson and just in general.

Materials: Becky Higgins project life templates, Jade digital edition; other: free elements.

Our Honeymoon

Hello

I have been doing a few digital page catch ups this long weekend and realised I have not shared so many of my digital pages and Project life. Oops! I recently started my honeymoon album (only 3 years later) and realised I have not shared any of them.

We went to Fiji for our honeymoon which was great. I can't wait to go back there again one day for that ultimate relaxing holiday.

Some of these album pages I totally love. Some need some more tweaking. I also modified some of the digital PL templates to suit my needs :)

Materials: Becky Higgins Project Life kits: Midnight, Seafoam, Cinnamon; BH Digital templates.

Thanks for visiting and keep an eye out for more digital shares over coming days :)

Recent digital pages

Hello

How are you all on this lovely Saturday? Mine has been spent so far with a sleeping baby on my lap for the past 2 hours although she just woke up and bit me with her new tooth.

I thought I had better share some of my recent publications. Most of my digital pages have been accepted for publication almost immediately so not much time to share however here are 2 that I can now share as they have featured in Scrapbooking Memories earlier this year.

I am still amazed how much I love digital scrapbooking after so many years of thinking it was not for me. I love the clean look of it and how much easier it can be to do with a bub compared to traditional messy scrapbooking lol

The first page was made using Becky Higgins project life papers and some freebie elements.

This one was done with a freebie digital kit and took less than half an hour to put together. Crazy fast ... for me anyway as I can be slow with my traditional scrapping.

And how time flies. My little miss is now 10 months old. Time to start planning that 1st birthday party.

Enjoy the weekend.

Polly August & September Kit Layouts

Hello all

I'm a bit behind on my blogging. I have had several PL layouts finished for a while and kept forgetting to photograph and share. Oops. So a bit of a photo over load for this post, with pages from both August and September Polly! kits. Both of these kits have been fabulous and so easy to create with. I will have more from the September kit coming before the next kit release but for now, here are some pics of weeks 35-37 :)

Sorry for a couple of totally dodgy pics. I didn't switch lenses and this one doesn't autofocus. Ick! But thankfully I have a new one arriving hopefully tomorrow that will do the job much better ;)

How pretty is the colour palette of the September kit. I love love love these colours!

Hope those of you who have subscribed to these yummy kits have been enjoying yours too. They are so full of goodness! And enough to do at least a full month worth of pages, which is perfect.

Have a great week.

Project Life week 32 & 33

Hello

I am a couple of weeks behind on my project life at the moment, although catching up fast. T'hat's one of the perks not only of project life, but of the Polly! kits. Keeps things nice and simple.

Another way I like to catch up sometimes is by doing only single page layouts for quieter weeks rather than the usual double spread. This also means I will have a better chance of cramming an entire year into one album. We'll see ;)

The photos are not the best. The sunlight was running out fast by the time I took these but hopefully you still can make out the awesomeness of this August kit. I am working my way through another double layout right now with all the goodies from the kit too. Stay tuned for another post next week.

Only 104 days til Christmas

Does that sound a little scary?

Not that far really. It tends to sneak up quick so at least us design team girls get to be a step ahead with a few Christmas projects to share in the lead up.

This month is also about something new. Like new sunnies...

And a close up of those cute banners... covered in patterned paper.

Materials: Kaisercraft papers, AC Thickers, Dymo labeller, twin, Scrapmatts chipboard.

And a card (sorry about the sideways pic):

This year was my hubby's first father's day and he was actually only home for the last few hours of it unfortunately. But still special :)

Other than the chipboard, this card is made from left overs from my Polly! PL kits. See, totally multi-purposeful ;)

Thanks for stopping by

New Digi Page

Hey there

It has been the craziest 2 months but will hopefully start to slow down in a couple of weeks when work isn't as full on. We have new staff starting so I can start sharing a bit of my workload again thankfully! Been insane having a full time work load but only working part time lol Ahh well. Can't say I'm bored!

My other side project, Sweet Harmony Delights has also been going really well which is great. I do have a big stocktake needed so I can stop taking over the entire house with store products. I have already had more than 50 orders which is quite humbling!

But the good news is I have been creating. I will share some new project life pages with you in the next week. I am also up with some new stuff at Scrapmatts on Thursday so I will share that on the blog too. Although I forgot to photograph a wedding card before giving it to the recipients lol Oops!

For now, a quick share of a digi page. These are perfect when I have a sleeping bub on me on nights she might be a little less settled. I love that I can still create while keeping her close :)

Thanks for stopping by
