Mega Happy Mail

Morning everyone,
Just wanted to have a quick share of the wonderful deliveries my parcel man delivered this morning. Sorry the photos are rotten. I'm phone blogging again lol Firstly, my order from Scrapbooking stock. So cheap for Kaisercraft products. I got 4 mini pads for $4 each. Love that price. Plus a couple of freebies thrown in there. Nice!

Then my order from Scrapbooking Haven arrived also. This includes both the birthday sale items I purchased on Amy's birthday and a few normal item things. Look at all those thickers and prima. Lovely. Wish I could play today... but they will have to wait. My DT pack should arrive tomorrow or the next day so more lovely goodies when I get home.

And then there was the unexpected parcel.I opened it thinking hmmm... I don't recall ordering this big bundle of goodies. That's because I didn't. I won them from a competion through Scrapbooking Memories. OMG! How awesome are all those goodies. I could not believe how many stickers, rub ons and stamps were in that gorgeous parcel. What a fabulous Monday morning.

Now the reason I don't get to play with my goodies until later this week, if at all, is because tomorrow is my husband's 30th birthday and I'm taking him away for a lovely little get away on the Gold Coast. He has no clue where we are going or what we are doing. We're about to set off so the GPS will lead him to the destination. Tomorrow we are going on a seaplane trip to another island for a lunch and sight seeing. Then during lunch I will surprise him with the final part of his birthday gift... the booking confirmation for our 3 night trip to Auckland in August. I hope he has a wonderful time! So until I return, have a lovely week everyone in Blogger land.

WOYWW - New Goodies

Hi everyone
So its WOYWW again, so pop on over to Julia's to discover a whole heap of other desks to snoop.

It seems I have done a frenzy of creating lately, especially with my Kaiser DT submissions. I can't help myself... I keep adding new items to the post because I am addicted with Kaisercraft. You will see how far this addiction goes with the next couple of pics. Just got my order from wisecraftcreations.com.au, with lots of new OTP goodies. I want to create a couple of folders for alphas and stuff, as I find mine are always in piles and I forget what I have where, so I got some of the Kaiser recipe books to turn into scrapbook organisers. I also have the book end drawers and the recipe box for some creative fun. And the new Chapter One collection mini pad.

I got myself a We r memory keepers stitch assist tool too so that should be fun and some new I-Rock accessories...Can you believe I haven't tried my i-rock yet? Nuts!
Lots of Kaisercraft inspiration. Love these free mags, plus I got the Q3 now too. Yay!

Another parcel of goodness I received was from the lovely Nat over at Punky Scraps. It was my prize from a recent challenge. She asked what my favourite colour is. Green. So lots of green and other gorgeous goodies. Can't wait to have a play.
I received my DYMO label embossing machine yesterday too and lots of tapes. I love how this works on layouts so expect to see some new techniques with my new tools in coming weeks.

Here is a layout I finished last night, as I currently have nothing new on the go to share. Its using the Kaisercraft Nan's Favourites mini paper pad. It shows how versatile these cute mini pads can be. Not sure my hubby is overly impressed with being featured cooking in a layout but I think its cute! He's created a new tradition for my family too, who have always done the cold christmas lunch being in our hot Queensland summer. But his honey glazed ham is so divine that its here to stay!

WOYWW - It Has Been A Lucky Start

Hey everyone
Another lucky start to the week. I have won 2 prizes from March challenge entries. A random prize draw at A2Z Scraplets and one of Nat's extra birthday prize picks at Punky Scraps. How exciting! MY OTP baby album was also featured as part of Christine's March Baby Album link up party yesterday too at Memories By Christine. Thanks hun! So overall its been another fab start to the week.

On my workdesk today is the follow layout in progress. Its all about 'me'. Its coming together nicely so I'll reveal the finished product in the next few days.

There is a new fab sketch challenge for April at Scrapbooking Haven.

Here's the sketch:
If you're curious on what other's are up to this week, pop on over to Julia's to see where this WOYWW thing all began

WOYWW - Things to Share + Suggestions Wanted

Hi Everyone,
Its that time of the week again when we get to go for a visit to other people's desks. Don't forget to pop over to Julia's to see where it all began.

I had a mammoth online shop at various scrap sites last week so parcels have begun to flow in. Its always exciting to get deliveries. I am keen to get some OTP projects started and ready before Christmas so at least starting now gives me plenty of time to be prepared. So nothing much in progress just yet, but a lot of big plans for this coming week. But where to start... so many options!

My husband turns 30 on 17th May and I want to have a big party for him. I love the idea of theme parties so I suggested a few random themes for him a while ago, one of which was a 'pimp' theme lol He liked this one so we decided that's what we would go with, but I'm coming up a bit short on ideas for invitations. Google isn't all that helpful even though the Pimp & Ho theme is kind of common these days. I will of course make the invitations myself but wanted them to be a little different. I contemplated the idea of editing an image of money to have the party details, but it wasn't looking much good so maybe something else. I also want to make some decorations and have some fun theme games on the night. So please everyone, put on your creative hats for me and give me some suggestions for the party. Invitations... decorations... games and anything else. All suggestions will be very much appreciated since I'm starting to worry as it gets closer and I'm yet to organise a thing.

Ok, now for some pictures. This first photo is of the prize I won from the Scrapmatts blog hop. Looking forward to doing some layouts with these pretty chipboard accents.
These photos are for the current planned WIP. They are actually for a certain layout that will come with an announcement in time for April. I love the bigger picture of my neice, resting on her hand hehe
And of course, the desk. This is the other end of the desk today, rather than my computer section. Still messy of couse, but there are a few bits of black desk visible. That's where I keep my guillotine, my bug and a few other odds and ends.
I also wanted to draw all your attention to a new challenge blog starting by the extremely talented Nadia. Its Once Upon A Sketch and they are actually having a fantastic give away to help spread the world on this new site. Be sure to check it out, along with the super talented design team. Here is what you can win if you help spread the world (What an awesome kit!!!):

Thank you to everyone who visits and comments on my blog. Your lovely feedback is always so nice to read and keeps me coming back with new posts.

Have a fab WOYWW!

My Desk & Some Exciting News

Hi everyone,
If you like checking out other people's messy creative spaces, be sure to head to Julia's to find out more. Not a great deal to actually show as far as scrapbooking goes today as I tend to do most of my creating on weekends and towards the start and end of the week. Wednesday may be my most unproductive day of the week. So instead I took a phot of my incredibly messy desk. Pretty awful, hey? But that's kind of how it always looks. I'm a clutter-er! I do have a fab new computer though.

These are a few photos of the new addition to my sister's family that will inspire me to do a layout soon.

So onto my exiting news. Well I'll start with the news I got online today. I won 2 prizes. The first was the Feb/March sketch challenge at http://www.scrapbookit.com.au/ which was a $20 voucher to spend in store. The second was a prize pack from the Scrapmatts blog hop I did on the weekend. Whoooo... chipboard coming my way. Very excited! So that was some nice news for the day.

Now onto my big news. I've wanted to share this one for a couple of weeks now but had to wait for the official announcement, however I am now part of the Design Team over at The Scrapbooking Haven. So excited! I love this store as its so cheap and has a great variety of supplies so I'm very much looking forward to receiving my first DT pack. I hope it would have arrived today but nope... so fingers crossed for tomorrow. Be sure to head on over to the store, as well as to their forum where there are 3 great challenges going for March. Also, become a follower of the blog as there are sure to be some great updates in the near future!

Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW Already?

Hi everyone,
Well its another Wednesday. Or Hump Day as some like to call it. I still remember the first time I heard that. I thought the person was being sleazy lol

This particular Wednesday is my dad's birthday, so last night I quickly made my 3rd card ever. Its not fabulous but I created it in line with the Scrapbooking Haven March card challenge. The idea is to have at least 3 layers and to add dimension. So there is only so much dimension a male card can have but for something quick and simple, I am quite pleased with it and I hope he likes it too. We are headed over there tonight for a roast dinner. I made his favourite dessert... pavlova.

So yesterday when I arrived home from work I had a lovely package in the mail from my prize win on From Screen to Scrap. Thanks again Debi C for the lovely gift. It was even packaged very pretty so I thought I would share the before and after.
Some lovely goodies that will be fun to work with.
So on to my actual work desk today. As I left the house today for work, this was the work in progress sitting in front of my computer. It was frustrating me last night as I could not work out the colour scheme I wanted, so as yet, nothing is stuck down and everything is in the trial stage of this layout. But I'm thinking the lovely new flowers from my prize parcel will look lovely with this particular layout. But first, I have to figure out the rest of it lol I love the photos though. It was my youngest neice and nephew at their house the other day for my older nephew's 10th birthday. They are actually a year apart but everyone thinks they are twins.
One issue I certainly do have is that when we see my neice and nephew, its usually night time due to everyone working, so most of the photos end up very dark and not ideal for scrapping. I am wanting to upgrade my camera too before we have our own family, as I'm not very impressed with it these days and can't find my old zoomy Kodak one to see if it is any better. Although those bottom 3 photos are phone ones so my camera isn't quite that bad. Ahh well... I'll put it on my wish list - New awesome mega zoom camera hehe

Don't forget to visit Julia to learn about WOYWW and link to other desks.
