Hello everyone,
I'm very excited to announce the news that I have joined the first ever design team at Alterd Project Inc. Other than my obvious love of scrapbooking, I am a huge fan of creating altered off the page projects for gifts and display around my own home. So when I discovered this blog I could not wait to apply for the team and was lucky to be one of the chosen designers to kick off with this great new blog.
Personally I think the blog world is lacking in the altered area, so if you are like me, and like to take your creating off the page, be sure to become a follower over at Alterd Project Inc and support Sarah in getting people involved. There will be lots of fabulous inspiration to come and the blog already has one sponser, My Scrapbook Nook and on the lookout for many more.

Sunset
Hello lovely bloggers,
I have another layout to share. A nice summer inspired one. This one is featuring a lovely chipboard title from WOW chipboard. You can purchase it here.
To achieve this chipboard look, I inked the title with 3 different inks, starting from the lightest colour down to the brighter red ink. I did this by dabbing the chipboard with my ink pad. I then gave it a bit of a glossy shine with a coat of Mod Podge dimensional magic. I love how it turned out as it is perfect for another honeymoon layout.
This layout features some more Seaside collection from Kaisercraft and some cute flowers from D-Lish scraps. The photos are with my new camera but bare with me... it is so technical so will take some figuring out LOL Its fun though!
Have a great day!

Layout to Share and a Sale at WP
Morning everyone,
Monday again. Seems the weekends are over way too quick. I had some news at work that I should probably share. I got a promotion at work. I am now the senior psychologist at the centre I work in. Its a bit exciting but stressful too as it comes at a time when we are excessively short staffed and there is a structural change taking place... still its career progression, which can only be a positive.
Before I share my latest layout, I just wanted to let you know there is a big sale on over at Wicked Princesses. Lots of the kits are 50% off with all others at least 20% off, plus discounts on mists, masks and Krissy's handmade embellishments...My Vintage Blossoms. Some fabulous bargains so quick.. before it all sells out. Head over here. Also, you have until midnight Wednesday to finish the cyber crop challenges for some great prizes.
Okay, now onto a layout. This next layout had a bit of a joint inspiration. It was inspired by Barb's challenge at the cyber crop to scrap about something that comforts you in the cold of winter... so I picked my husband ;) These photos were taken in winter in Melbourne which is pretty freezing. They were at my sister in laws 40th birthday party 2 years ago. Such a fun night!
I was also inspired by one of this month's sketches at Kaisercraft, and have used mostly Kaiser products, with a combination of Skull girl and Velvet ensemble.... strange mix I know! This is the sketch:

Wicked Princesses Cyber Crop On Now - My Challenge is Now Up
Hi all
Well I have just posted up my very first challenge at Wicked Princesses for the current Cyber Crop. You have until Wednesday to get your layouts in the gallery so it would be great for you to come play along. There is lots of scrappy fun, inspiration and chatter going on in the forum all weekend. Even a game hosted by fellow DT Barb.
The theme of this Cyber Crop is seasons, so mine is Autumn themed. Hannah, Barb and Krissy have all got a challenge up for the other seasons too so there is something to inspire any photo you may have been meaning to scrap. So come on over for some fun!
Here is my challenge layout:
Materials include: Making memories paper, Pretty paper petals flowers, and K&C Company vinyl ribbon.
Its a recipe challenge featuring autumn related colours. As you can see my own layout is not the usual orange and rusty colours of autumn but that just goes to show that a challenge is what you make it. I love this photo of my gorgeous niece Liarna.
Come over and join in on the fun!

Some Velvet Ensemble
Hello everyone,
Firstly I want to say thankyou to all the lovely people who visit and leave sweet comments. I really appreciate it and it is such a great feeling to share with so many talented and inspirational people.
I recently got the lovely Velvet Ensemble collection by Kaisercraft and had a chance to create with it last night. I was inspired by one of the June challenges on the Kaiser blog. Here is the sketch:
Mostly I was inspired by the die cut shape but have been wanting to try the frill border thing for months after seeing a layout in a magazine on a round die cut cardstock. So this was a great opportunity and I must say, I am so in love with this layout. It could be one of my all time favourites. It features my bridal party and the quote is a Kaiser rub on relating to smiles, as it was one of the few photos of all 6 of them where they were all pretty much smiling. No one with their eyes shut or pulling a stupid face LOL
Sorry my photo is a little lopsided! Ooops! I am a shocker at photographing layouts lol
Materials: Kaisercraft Velvet ensemble papers, sticker sheet, journal tags, paper blooms, bling and doilies; Kaisercraft After Five acetate; Prima flowers
So I have actually created a lot of things in the past couple of weeks, but as you may have noticed my blog has been a bit sparse on updates. That is due to the fact that most of them are DT creations so hopefully I will get to post them up for you all soon. Some won't be until next month though but I am loving them so can't wait to share. Otherwise I am busy trying to create a mini scrapbook for my boss who finishes this week. Oh and I may have some exciting work related promotion news to share soon. Will keep you posted.
Have a great week everyone!

Dreamin of a Summer Holiday
For those of you on my side of the world, its winter here in Australia and a little bit freezing. It has in fact been an extra cold winter already here in sunny Queensland, much to my horror. I'm a summer person by far and really struggle with the cooler weather but unfortunately we all have to take the good with the bad...unless you live in Antarctica... because then its pretty much all bad!
So I thought I'd reminicse warmer days through a nice summer inspired layout featuring some pics from our honeymoon in Fiji from October. It was actually Spring but hot enough to be summer. Love that humid, steamy climate!
And its a double too!
This collection was perfect for a beachy theme layout. I love the effect of the fussy cut flowers from one of the papers. It looks like a hibiscus bouquet! I also loved the idea of using some cardboard underneath the main photo to give it the look of driftwood.
Such gorgeous scenary! Definite the most relaxing holiday my husband and I have ever had in all of our 9 years together as we typically do a lot of sight seeing on holiday.

Gondola Ride & I'm a Winner
Yay... it's Friday! Best day of the working week.
Just have a quick share. This next layout was created for the current Artastic challenge, which was to feature a boat, 2 people and stripes. So I have indeed covered the criteria. These photos were taken during our European trip last July. It was so hot in Venice but much better than the freezing winter we have now in Australia. Okay... so our version of freezing is nothing on Europe but its cold for us lol
I have actually used the Kaisercraft Up, Up and Away collection for this one also, so it kind of goes with my stonehenge page. Also some vintage buttons, Cardboard, and Crete paper alphas.
I also wanted to share the news that I won the sketch challenge over at Multi photo scrapbooking layouts. You can check it out here. I'm surprised actually as the layout I submitted did not come up well at all when I photographed it so it was a very pleasant, unexpected surprise.
This weekend I am heading to the Papercraft expo in Brisbane with a co-worker. I am sooo excited! We are hopefully going to do a class with Melissa Kennedy from kaisercraft if it hasn't booked out. I also won a $10 Scrapmatts voucher to spend on the day so a nice extra bonus. And its a long weekend here for the Queens birthday (no idea why as I think her real birthday is in February).
Hope you all have something lovely planned!

Giveaways & A Quick Share
There are 2 very fabulous giveaways happening right now. One is over at Scrap Doctor AKA Natalie's blog. And the other... to celebrate 1 million page hits, at Scrappelicious. Go check it out for your chance to win either of these fabulous give aways. And be sure to check out the lovely creations from each of these talented people.
I also wanted to do a quick share on an item I made recently but haven't had a chance to post up on my blog. I have been trying to organise my incredibly messy scrap room and decorated one of the Kaisercraft recipe books to store my alphas and rub ons and other various stickers. I decorated it with the Kaisercraft Chapter One collection and love how it turned out.

Cherish
Hi everyone,
It was my turn this week to do a blog post over at Scrapbooking Haven. I'm not really overly experienced in tutorials but I had a go. Please head on over to the blog to check it out. Scrapbooking Haven
This month Amy wanted each of the Design Team members to create using specific items. My items were brads. I created a layout with a bit of hidden journalling. I also worked in the colour scheme of the current Scrap the Girls challenge. Here is my layout below:
Take care

Scrapbudz DT & Scrap Our Stash GDT Layouts
Hello everyone,
Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. Its Saturday night... and I'm enjoying the evening at home. Also, there is a new challenge up at Scrapbudz. Check it out here. This is my June DT layout.

A Giveaway and Some Quick Shares
Evening everyone,
Yep, I'm back with another post today. Firstly, I wanted to let you know about an awesome giveaway at the new Alterd Project Inc blog. They are giving away a Nook kit. And its GORGEOUS! I'm so keen for this new blog to start up as I love altered projects and OTP, as some of you may have noticed. Can't wait til the kick off but for now, a great giveaway to get things moving.
Now for some quick shares. I have this terrible habit of leaving my card creating until the very last minute, so it kind of shows LOL These next couple took me less than 10 minutes each to create but they do the job okay.
The first one is using Cosmo Cricket Chemistry papers was for my husband to celebrate 9 years since we started dating:
This next one is very much cuttlebug inspired. Its for my friends birthday. The basic card is by kaisercraft, run through the bug with my favourite floral embossing folder. I also created this felt flower with the bug. I had no idea it cut felt and it cut through so easy. Very happy to have learnt this.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone. Its my favourite night of the week... Friday night, when my husband is busy watching footy so I get to scrap to my hearts content!

Stonehenge
Hello
There is nothing more fun than the start of a new month when all the new challenges are posted up. So exciting and it just makes me want to scrap like crazy.
This month the challenge over at From Screen to Scrap is based on the animated film "UP". The requirements are to include a balloon or hot air balloon, clouds and a 3D embellishment. The day before I just happened to get the older Kaisercraft Up, Up and Away collection which is a bit of a carnival theme featuring hot air balloons. Perfect!
Here is my layout featuring our visit to Stonehenge last year:
The hot air balloons are kind of obvious. The clouds are in the photo (not too clear on screen) and the 3D elements... well there are several. The paper blooms, the twine on the tag and even the title, balloons and distressed papers and tickets are raised for some added texture.
Materials: Kaisercraft Up, Up & Away collection: Rollercoaster, Bumpercar, Sideshow, Ferris Wheel, Moon Ride, paper blooms, mini alphas; Prima flower; American Crafts Thickers; twine.
