Sweet Harmony Delights

Hello

If you are here for the A2Z Scraplets blog hop, scroll down and you will find the hop post. Good luck on your chance to win some awesome prizes :)

As I mentioned recently, I have started my own hobby based business since I am now working part time. It has been lots of fun and I am happy with how it has been going so far. Like any new thing, a bit of a slow start but I am so grateful of the support of so many lovely people.

You can find my facebook store page here

I am looking to branch out further and have some exciting new things on their way but at the moment, the main focus is headbands for babies/children (and even adults by request). It has been heaps of fun creating these for the store. And of course testing them on my pretty little model Lily.

Here are some of the creations in store:

I would love your support for my little store in case you have a little cutie in your life or even if you want to spoil yourself with some pretties!

Christmas in July Blog Hop

Welcome to the Christmas in July Blog Hop, inspiring you to get out your christmas stash and use it before all the new collections are introduced this month. Join the fun and create something too, use the hastag #scrapbookchristmas in twitter, facebook or instagram.

I am sure most of us have plenty of Christmas goodness to share. Although if you're anything like me, you may be a little disorganised still with getting certain projects finished. That's how it was for me for my December Daily last year. Actually, I'm usually pretty good and will finish a project before moving on to too many others. But the December Daily was a bit of an exception. With good reason too... that reason being a little person called 'Lily' who filled up most of my December.

2012 was my second year doing December Daily and I love the idea of it. Although it will definitely be more exciting now that I am a parent. Most of December is pretty average for us in the past but that's one of the joys of having children, is being able to enjoy these things all over again through their eyes. I think I might do my next December Daily Project Life style for 2013 though.

So here are some of my DD pages to share:

And it is never too early to start organising Christmas cards.

Hope you have enjoyed a little Christmas in July inspiration :)

Next on the hop is Sandra

In case you get lost at any point, here is the list all the blogs:

Thanks to the lovely Ruth Bosner for organising this fun hop.

Have a great week.

Creative Space Week at Polly!

Hello

So we had a few weeks warning that the Polly! Team would be sharing our creative spaces on the blog. I started well on my path to achieving a clean room. I destashed a little & disposed of a little more. Then I got busy & the process sorta stopped. I have been on this journey for an organised space for a year or more. And I will keep at it until it is finally done. But for now, it is still a work in progress and you get to see it in its current state of mess.

Oh yes, that really is a desk under there. Quite a big one. But I have always been skilled at burying desks under piles of stuff. I am quite skilled at the art of stacking pizza boxes & other various items ;)

Here is my raskog cart which I got about 2 months ago. As I am a traditional scrapper as well as PL, I love it for storing all my paints/mists etc in the bottom shelf. Shelf 2 is 2 core kit boxes & lots of alphas. The top holds my thickers, washi tape & gadgets like my dymo labellers. And a few containers on the side holding tools, etc & of course some lovely wood veneer.

Then the neatest part of the room (yes, I can hear you laugh from here). My expedit. This actually was neater before destashing but I got rid of a few things that looked nice in the shelves & shoved some random stuff in there instead lol I keep buttons & twine in ikea jars. The middle baskets are card making supplies in one & embossing stuff in the other. The four bottom boxes are flowers, paper scraps, chipboard & random stuff.

I also have some plastic drawers holding various supplies hidden behind the door, under the pizza box stack.

The 3 stack paper rack is one of my best purchases though, with papers sorted by manufacturer.

In another corner of the room is a repurposed tv unit holding albums, magazines, OTPs & random mess. You don't need to see that corner or the one at the end of the desk LOL

I am extremely lucky to have a good sized room dedicated to my Scrapbooking but it hasn't stopped me taking over other rooms. That is the motivation for my clean up though. With a baby almost on the move, time to stick to one room.

Hopefully I have made all of you who think your room is messy feel a whole lot better ;)

Enjoy the week.

Sweet Harmony Delights

Hello everyone

A big thank you to those of you who have popped in for a visit lately. Your comments and kind words are always so very appreciated. There is nothing nicer than sharing this creative passion with others :)

Today I have something a little different to share with my Aussie readers. Becoming a mother has resulted in me starting a new creative venture, inspired by my lovely Lily and all the gorgeous baby accessories out there. I have started my own headband and accessory making venture which I have opened as a Facebook page for now to see how it goes.

My store - Sweet Harmony Delights will specialise in lots of pretty accessories suitable for babies up until adults in most cases. Mostly baby headbands but other accessories to come once I get myself more established. I have been having a total blast creating these new items lately.

There will be some opening specials in the coming days and the official launch of sales opening so please take a look and become a 'liker'.

Lucky for me I have an adorable model at home...

Thanks

Recent News

Hey there

Hope you are all well. Been a bit quiet from me lately as I am still adjusting back into my new work routine, however it's finally settling down now, working out how to maximise my work into 6 hour days part time. But at least I get 7 days off in between which makes for some productive creativity time still. And almost feels like I'm on holidays every second week.

I just wanted to share a couple of bits of exciting news. Recently a new online magazine was launched by Aussie Kim Archer and a team of talented helpers. The first issue launched about 2 weeks ago and is a massive 152 pages long and available online here. And I was lucky enough to have a couple of pages published in there. Some digital project life pages in fact.

The magazine is filled to the brim with project life, traditional scrapping and everything in between and everything in between and is well worth checking out.

Then onto the topic of online magazines, Issue 2 of Life. Paper.Scrapbook was also released a couple of days ago and again I had the honour of featuring 2 creations in there, an older layout of my kitty cats and a PL spread.

Both magazines are free to view and are so well put together. Definitely worth a look!

It has been an amazing year for me in terms of getting my work out there, featuring in all but 1 issue of Scrapbooking Memories so far this year too. Still pinching myself to make sure I didn't dream it lol

I will be back tomorrow with some new Project Life pages to share using the fabulous Polly! scrap Project Life kit. Don't forget the next kit is due for release very soon.

I have had a few things on the go lately in between my return to work and mummy duties. One thing is practicing my photography now that I have a new 50mm lens to play with. I love how these pics from a lunch in the park turned out of my lovely Lily.

Anyway, I will be back tomorrow for some creative shares. Enjoy your week.
