Just Because
Hi everyone,
This layout has been a work in progress for a few days but today I decided to stick everything down. I'm a bit more reluctant with the simple bright layouts, but its fun when I do the brights still as they are perfect for layouts featuring kids. No doubt, I'll do a lot more brights once my own turn for motherhood arrives.
This layout is featuring my nephew Connor who is now 5. He was about 1 in these photos which are very adorable. The title works well though as it is really a just because layout, with no special story.
I have created this layout with two challenges in mind and managed to combine the sketches. The first is the current A2Z Scraplets July sketch and the other is the Purple Pumpkin July sketch. I have used a cute little Purple Pumpkin button on my layout.
Materials: Pebbles Inc Ever After pp collection; Kaisercraft Devonshire pp collection, Kaisercraft bubblegum hills chipboard; A2Z scraplets title; Purple Pumpkin button; other: Pinwheel flower, journal spot, white paint.
Also, don't forget to come play along at the current Red, White Blue challenge over at Alterd Project Inc!
Thanks for stopping by.

Here is the latest post at Scrapbook kits by Scrap With V:
Wow, this was so hard! I had well over 40 applications and had to narrow it down to 16 positions (but that didn't work, and I've taken on four extra team members). The quality of work sent in from scrappers all around the world was totally amazing. And that's what made it so hard to narrow down the list. If I haven't chosen you this time, do not be disheartened, and please submit for our next call. (-: I've made an executive decision to limit all design team members to two consecutive terms of 6 months. After that, they are required to take a break for 6 months before they can reapply. This way, there is always new talent and fresh scrapping styles available for the customers. And it allows everyone to get a turn on our team. Sound fair? I hope so.
But without further ado, and in no particular order, please meet my new team for the next 6 months:

Young Love
Hello
I really loved the sketch/challenge at Storyboard kits to celebrate their anniversary so I was eager to play along. I initially created a layout called Bubbles that some of you might have gotten a quick look of. I loved that particular layout so much, I submitted it to Scrapbooking Memories for consideration, not really expecting much as I have never been published. It was picked up by them and has since been removed from online and posted for the final consideration stage.
As a result, I was left without a submission for the competition, so I have finally had some time to create a new entry to the Storyboard challenge and I love this one too. I recently ordered a specific collection range from an online store but got the wrong one by mistake. I decided to keep it and am so glad I did. It was the Making Memories Paper Reverie collection and it worked perfectly for the idea I had in mind for this layout. This one was one of those random ones that I did not plan. The photos are from 2008 so I wasn't really considering them for a layout but they just worked well with the colours.
The other part of the challenge is to include one of the extra things on your layout as specified and in my case, I have used the dress pattern flower. I have also done very minimal journalling, so it kind of fits that criteria too, with the date below the title and the location written across the light coloured butterfly.
Materials: Making memories Paper reverie papers & butterflies; Kaisercraft Le chateau paper; American crafts thickers; Jillibean soup cardstock stickers & heart sugar pick; Scrapware chipboard flower; Other: crochet doily, dress pattern flower, stamped cardstock.

Purple Pumpkin Guest Designer
Hi everyone,
Purple Pumpkin are having a guest designer competition and I only just realised this is due tonight, so I haven't had a chance to create a layout specifically for it and therefore am using a recent favourite layout as my submission to be considered for a spot. I realise this particular layout is not exactly the bright, modern and funky style layout that would be idea for the gorgeous Purple Pumpkin embellies, however it is one I really love and wanted the chance to share again.
If you hurry, you might make it in with a chance at a guest design spot too.
Take care

Perfect
Hi all,
I have just finished another layout of my baby niece Kaleaha. Yep, I realise I've scrapped this same photo more than once, but these lovely Making Memories papers I won from OhMyCrafts were just screaming for a cute baby photo. This one has actually been in progress for ages, but I was inspired to finish it when I saw the current inspiration challenge over at Butterfly Crafts, as it was the perfect challenge for this colour scheme.
Materials: Making memories Je tádore paper; American crafts thicker'; Kaisercraft paper blooms, pearl flourish and mini alphas; vintage lace; paper doily; Grace Taylor paper.
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

Hi All,
This week one of my co-workers started maternity leave from work and so I wanted to make a card that would be compact enough to be an easy keepsake but still hold lots of signatures as we have over 200 employees at our work. That brought me to the idea of creating a mini book style card. The card itself is about 7 x 7 inches and the front coloured paper is a sheet from the Le Chateau Kaisercraft mini pad so that gives you a bit of a better idea. I cut several pieces of white cardstock to the same size and sewed them together like book pages and attached them to the inside of the card. This made for a heavy, yet compact style card with lots of room for writing and even a few photos.
The photos are terrible though, so I do apologise. They were taken first thing in the morning and it was a bit bright with the early morning sun. And ooops, the last one shouldn't be sideways either lol
Materials: Kaisercraft Le Chatea mini pad, chapter one journal tag, After five rub ons; Wicked Princesses MVB rose, AC Thickers, Twidleybitz chipboard.
Have a great weekend

Football Star
sHello everyone,
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Mine has been a nice mix of celebrations and scrapping time.
This next layout features my adorable nephew Connor who lives in Melbourne, so I don't get to see him grow up so much. He's 5 now and this was taken when he was 1. Unfortunately it was one of those layouts that really did not photograph well. Bad lighting or something. It looks way better in real life.
Materials include: Pattern paper Echo park & Fancy pants; American crafts thickers, Kaisercraft Nan's favourites paper pad and mini alphas.
Thanks for visiting.

Crafty Sketches Layout
This month I decided to play along with the new sketch challenge at Crafty Sketches as I thought it was a great sketch. I did a layout featuring my team at work on our last get together before 2 have since moved on to new jobs and another is about to go on maternity leave (hmm... which one would that be? lol). I'm still a bit of a newbie with misting so its not a great attempt. It was too faint so I went over it and made my photo a bit green haha Oops!
Materials: Kraft cardstock, Crete paper papers, Kaiser journal tag & mini alphas, Bella chips.
Here is the sketch:
As you can see, I have added an extra photo to the layout.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

New Challenge at Scrapbudz
Hi everyone,
Well I've had a fabulous day other than work being crazy. I moved into and totally re-arranged my new office at work so that was a bit of fun. I was also a very lucky blog candy winner...thanks Anthea. And have been asked to be a guest designer... however I cannot reveal the details on that just yet.
There is a new challenge up at Scrapbudz for July. Its a sketch challenge and one that I loved working with.
Here is my DT layout featuring myself and my lovely bridesmaids. You can find the challenge here. So be sure to come play along!
I have used the Kaisercraft Chapter one collection for my layout, including the mini pad, with Kaiser paper blooms and ZVA bling.

Happy 40th Birthday To My Sister
Today is my sister's 40th birthday... not that she likes to admit it. She got me to make invitations that say 21st (plus) birthday lol Her party is next weekend, however I just went out with dad for a quick visit to see her since Mum is currently visiting her brother in North Queensland for my cousins 18th (birthdays everywhere). My sis is the mother of 7 and looks pretty darn good for 40. Her youngest is only a couple of months old so I've just had a bit of fun testing my new SLR camera out on the kids.
Here is my sis and goregous niece Kaleaha:
My very cute youngest nephew Riley has had a haircut. He looks so grown up now!
My second youngest niece... our princess! She could not find 2 matching gloves so she's got odd ones on and a puppy!
Another of my sis and Kaleaha smiling. How cute!
And the birthday card I made for my sis. I used Kaisecraft chapter one and hand made the rose out of some left over shiny paper from my wedding stationary. I was inspired by a recent card made by Camilla Ekmann on the Kaiser blog.

Wedding Day Altered Frame
Hello everyone,
I want to share one of my latest creations, an altered frame. When the Bo Bunny timeless collection came out, I decided it would be a wonderful collection to create a wedding layout with and even better was the fact that I had a Kaisercraft 12 photo display ready to go. I am so happy with how this turned out.
Materials include: Kaisercraft 12 photo display, Vintage ensemble papers, paper blooms; Scrapmatts chipboard clocks; Bo Bunny timeless collection papers; Prima flowers; WOW chipboard viney journal tag & Our wedding day title.
Thanks for visiting.
