Forever Layout

Hi all,
Tonight I put together a relatively quick layout from a joint inspiration. The initial inspiration came from the March challenge over at The Scrapbooking Haven, using the second sketch. However I could not really decide what to scrap, so I used the Get Picky inspiration pick to inspire the colours.

I really love this wedding photo under the veil.

As far as the overall layout goes, I'm not completely happy but can't quite work out what's wrong. I think it has something to do with the sticker in the top area. It perhaps ruins it... but without the sticker... that gap was really big and ugly. It also hides my first attempt at glimmer mist. Underneath is the outline of a butterfly and while it did work, it was not enough to really decorate the page as I only own one glimmer mist, and it wasn't the right colour for pink paper. So a bit of an experiment. Definitely not a total success but a chance to learn.

Most of the embellishments are from The Scrapbooking Haven, including Kaiser chipboard roses, and the paper and cardstock are from Kmart (lol).

I am hoping to get a fair bit more scrappin time tomorrow, unless the weather is fine, in which case I have to help my husband in the garden. Lets hope its still raining ;-) But conveniently stops before we have to go to his band's gig tomorrow night as I have no idea if it is indoors or out. My husband has already gone to bed for the night but I can't help but find myself a bit reluctant after our 3am intruder the other night. Hopefully my sleep pattern returns to normal soon! However, its off to bed I go.

Night everyone xo

Having a nursery as well as a crafting business, I too sometimes really hope for rain so I don;t have to pot plants ( of course it only means more to do later!)

I love your layout. The colours and details work so well together.

As to your unease with the nights, There is no easy answer. You already know that it takes time for your mind to process and reach a level of comfort. Best wishes with this!

Thank you everyone for such kind comments. We could not have been happier with our wedding photos. They turned out so lovely, Rachael.

Julie, our garden remains insanely overgrown but this afternoon we'll be getting into it. So not a way to wind down after work hehe
