WOYWW Already?

Hi everyone,
Well its another Wednesday. Or Hump Day as some like to call it. I still remember the first time I heard that. I thought the person was being sleazy lol

This particular Wednesday is my dad's birthday, so last night I quickly made my 3rd card ever. Its not fabulous but I created it in line with the Scrapbooking Haven March card challenge. The idea is to have at least 3 layers and to add dimension. So there is only so much dimension a male card can have but for something quick and simple, I am quite pleased with it and I hope he likes it too. We are headed over there tonight for a roast dinner. I made his favourite dessert... pavlova.

So yesterday when I arrived home from work I had a lovely package in the mail from my prize win on From Screen to Scrap. Thanks again Debi C for the lovely gift. It was even packaged very pretty so I thought I would share the before and after.
Some lovely goodies that will be fun to work with.
So on to my actual work desk today. As I left the house today for work, this was the work in progress sitting in front of my computer. It was frustrating me last night as I could not work out the colour scheme I wanted, so as yet, nothing is stuck down and everything is in the trial stage of this layout. But I'm thinking the lovely new flowers from my prize parcel will look lovely with this particular layout. But first, I have to figure out the rest of it lol I love the photos though. It was my youngest neice and nephew at their house the other day for my older nephew's 10th birthday. They are actually a year apart but everyone thinks they are twins.
One issue I certainly do have is that when we see my neice and nephew, its usually night time due to everyone working, so most of the photos end up very dark and not ideal for scrapping. I am wanting to upgrade my camera too before we have our own family, as I'm not very impressed with it these days and can't find my old zoomy Kodak one to see if it is any better. Although those bottom 3 photos are phone ones so my camera isn't quite that bad. Ahh well... I'll put it on my wish list - New awesome mega zoom camera hehe

Don't forget to visit Julia to learn about WOYWW and link to other desks.

Your card is great, Holly, your Dad will love it I'm sure.
Well done you on your prize, it looks lovely and I'm sure the flowers will be great for scrapbooking. Your current LO is looking gorgeous. I like leave a design laid out sometimes and come back to it when I'm not sure. Fresh eyes can make all the difference. It looks great to me as it is though.
Thanks for sharing.

Your card for your dad is beautiful. The page you did pouring the sand is just gorgeous. I've never heard of that before and that is another reason I like WOYWW because I've truly learned a ton.
