Hi all
Thanks for your visits in the last couple of weeks despite my infrequent updates. I'm getting back to it now with a few creations to share in the next few days at least.
Here are my latest kit creations using the Togetherness kit from Wicked Princesses. This kit is huge so I have a lot of cardstock and other bits and pieces left over for another layout or cards. It has some great handmade embellishments and uses some funky Basic Grey and Scenic Route papers and extras.
You should pop on over to Wicked Princesses and check out the forum, gallery and of course the store if you haven't already. There is a fabulous cyber crop each month, and monthly challenges with prizes to win. Would love to see you there!

Long Time, No Post
Hi Everyone,
This has been the longest I have gone without a blog post since my blog started... oops. I want to thank everyone who has stopped by lately and I apologise for my absence. Its been a bit of a crazy time for me lately so my creating has slowed a little... but not much. I have a lot to share very soon, including my latest kit creations for Wicked Princesses in the next week.
Some of you may be aware that I am a psychologist. I am employed in a male high security correctional facility and have been there for more than 4 years... actually it was my first official psych job. Well due to lots of staff moving on to different career opportunities, I recently became the senior psychologist at the centre (Whoa... pressure!!!) so things have been insane. Our current situation is still a bit crazy with staff issues. The main reason for this is that the centre is soon closing down and we are instead taking over a brand new, state of the art prison about 50 minutes further west. Ick! So my 10 minute drive becomes a 50 minute drive to work soon... depressing. But what this means is a lot of staff leaving due to this not being suitable for them and there have also been personality challenges with new team members and at the moment I am a couple of days away from being the only psych in an almost 500 person centre. Eeeek! So that's a bit of an example of the crazy life I'm leading at the moment. But it's a really great opportunity and despite the high stress at the moment, I am loving the role. I'm so much busier and the days fly by. A lot more opportunity to do new things and develop existing things. Its also very flattering to make it to senior psychologist status at the age of 28. Not something I expected. I now have the role of mentoring and training probationary psychologists when it was not so long ago I was one.
Things should start to settle down soon so I'll be back up and scrapping like mad in no time! I did buy a stack of new gadgets from a craft expo in Brisbane on the weekend. Some fab Martha Stewart punches, some new nesting dies and other odds and ends. Lots of chipboard. I'm a little obsessed with chipboard.
See you all with updates again soon.

My First Kit is Ready For Purchase
Hi everyone,
I was recently lucky enough to join the talented team at Scrapbook Kits by Scrapping with V, which means creating layouts for one of the fabulous kits Jules makes every second month. My very first kit creations have now gone live and the kit is available in store to purchase here
Here are the layouts I created:
The layouts are featuring two of my nieces... Liarna and Keisha. Such beautiful little princesses! I absolutely love this paper collection by Making Memories in the kit. So incredibly girly and pretty. You will love this kit!
Also, this next layout is a joint challenge... the September inspiration challenge at Scrapbook Kits as well as one of my guest design creations using gorgeous items from D-Lish Scraps.
A couple more guest DT layouts to be released at a later time.

Scrapbook Kits DT Layouts for August
Hi all,
I realise I forgot to share my 1st of August layout for Scrapbook kits by Scrapping with V so here it is:
This one is of my sister who just turned 40... much to her horror. Its using an older Kaisercraft collection. I really wanted to get rid of the papers and this seemed like a good layout for them, due to the reds and purples. Mature colours? LOL I don't know.
And here is my layout for the August 15th sketch. Its using the gorgeous Making Memories papers from the Je tádore collection. Love this one. The photo is of my niece Keisha and her best friends. Perfect colour scheme for the photo.
Thanks for looking and for commenting. Always appreciated to know so many lovely, talented friends are stopping by :-)

Wedding Frame
Hi everyone,
I just got back from a trip to Auckland yesterday so haven't been home to do much scrapping or sharing in the past week. Most of my scrapping has been for DT committments too, however I have just posted up my latest altered project over at Altered Project Inc, which you can find here.
Here is a photo of the finished item:
And some close ups.
The frame was created for my mother in laws birthday last week. She loved it but it was a bit annoying when DH said 'Here is something Holly just whipped up for you', like it took me 5 minutes. Men! Pfft LOL It was the only gift she got from any of the family that day so she definitely appreciated it. Oh and it did not help that she had to cook half her birthday dinner and then her husband accident spilt his beer all over her plate mid dinner. Thankfully after a few seconds of smoke coming out her ears, we were all able to laugh at the rediculous situation. Got to love dinner with the in laws!
Hope you're all having a fabulous week :-)

Wicked Princesses August Kit Creations
Hey everyone,
This month I got to play with the Somebunny kit from Wicked Princesses. This kit is filled with WRMK papers in bright pinks, reds and other bold colours. Soooo not my strong point so I have to thank Krissy for making me scrap outside the comfort zone. Here are my kit creations:
As you can see this kit is quite diverse, as I've managed to make layouts featuring kids, boys, and romance. Its huge too so there are still materials remaining to make more layouts or cards, so great value kit. Head on over to the WP store to check it out along with other fabulous kits. There is also an August sketch challenge to inspire, with chances to win vouchers and other great prizes.
Have a great day.

Cards and Stuff
Hi All,
Cheery Lynn are having a DT call, so I thought I'd have a go by submitting some recent projects. Here are two cards I have made in the past month or so, featuring die cuts, punches and other bits and pieces. I don't actually have any of the fabulous Cheery Lynn designs, so I have used a collection of other dies to create these cards.
This card uses Spellbinders nestabilities label 5; Tim Holts tattered florals. I love the floral die a it creates such lifelike roses. And much cheaper than buying pre-made roses.
This card includes Spellbinders nestabilities doily motifs, Marianne creatables doily, Martha stewart butterfly punch border punches, Cuttlebug circle die (which has been cut to look like a pram. I also used the nestabilities die as a stencil to create my larger circle area. This card has some hand sewing as well.
Thanks for looking.

Fur Friends
This is my layout as guest designer at From Screen to Scrap this month. I had a certain idea in mind with this one, but it did not turn out anything like I wanted. We all have those days I suppose when a creation is just not what you hoped. Ahh well... at least I managed to scrap a picture of my other cat for the first time. They are both getting kind of old so I wanted to make sure I had layouts featuring each of them before ... well I'm sure you can guess why. Our cats are like family and have been with me since I was a teenager. Felix (the furball) is 15 this year and Villain (the siamese) is 13, so they aren't exactly kittens anymore.
They both have their quirks.
Felix is not an overly social cat. She won't sit on a person but is ok being picked up and cuddled. She will sit near you...and purrs at everything. She is also the guts and the boss in the house. She eats everything yet she is so skinny. Always has been. Yes, the fur is misleading.
Villain is a people lover. She prefers to sit on you, no matter if its the middle of summer. She is like a baby really and we do treat her much that way. She also knows that Felix is boss and sometimes I wonder if she even gets to eat much dinner... despite being extremely round. She still chases her own tail even at her old age of 13 lol
