WOYWW - A Day Late

So it's thursday here but it's been hard to keep up. I figure I might as well make some use of my time. I am finishing of the photo guest book as it sounds like we should get through to my parents anniversary dinner.

I've also been writing up some long overdue wedding thank you cards, hence the excel spreadsheet.

I've included a photo of the latest edition to my craft room. A spare tv unit that is ideal for holding all my scrapbooking supplies.

I'm still a WOYWW newbie, but if you're interested to see what this is all about. Check out Stamping-Ground and you'll soon find out!

Great idea to use a tv unit for storage! Sorry to hear about all the flooding and devastation going on in your part of the world. Stay safe! Happy WOYWW~ #11

How is that for timing. I was just up to #11 on visiting work desks when I noticed your comment. Just visiting you right this moment. Whoa... what an artist you are!

Thanks for your kind comments. It's a crazy place here. Expecting it to take 2 years to rebuild all the damage :-(

Storage is always the big problem with crafty goodies isn't it. Your TV unit looks like it will be really useful!

I can't imagine trying to do anything crafty with the flooding so close to home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Looks a handy unit to keep your stash off the floor. Hope things are OK with you.

Thanks ladies for your visits. It was a big effort dragging the TV unit in on my own since my husband wasn't here, but I'm glad I did. Its so much less cluttered elsewhere and now everything is in one place.

The guest book was a case of having a deadline of last night to finish it before the dinner, which we thankfully got to. It was a nice distraction. Sometimes watching endless hours of destruction on the news gets a bit much and so it was nice to do something else while stuck home for days. Its just been so surreal :-(

Glad to have been of some assistance :-D I'm so glad I thought of it. Its perfect. Mostly because the spot where the TV fits now sits my paper punch and scissor sets and the VCR slot fits my guilotine perfectly.

The secret to harmony in scrapping is having everything in one piece, so the effort with the unit was a great investment if you ask me! Have been reading your posts about the flooding..I'm at a total loss as to say anything that could even vaguely be a comfort...your pictures are extraordinary...where it just stops..arbitarily, half way up a road. Geez. Wishing you safety and wellness...and the strength to carry on when the waters recede and reveal.

Oh oh oh - forgot to say - I hope you make it to your parent's supper - it will be a great boost for you all in any event, congrats to them!

The way I look at it is that it is better to be a little late than never attempt the journey. I love craft stashes. Thanks for sharing.

Julia, I did make the dinner so that was something positive for the week at least.

Thanks again everyone for your kind words and visits :-)

Hi Harmony, I am late getting around all the desks this week so apologies for that! Your TV unit works a treat for your scrapping stuff - good recycling!! Hope you are all safe in the floods... keep your feet dry!! Annette #18

Thank you both. Things are drying out here, finally with some real summer days since just after the floods hit. I've got a new layout in progress. My first this year. I'm going to start my honeymoon album :-)

Hope you're still safe over there, it looks like a total nightmare. Sorry I'm so late in popping in to say hi. What a great idea to use that TV unit for storage and even better that it's an open unit so you can see what's in it. Don't know about you but i'm very much 'out of sight, out of mind' when it comes to my crafty stash!

Yep all safe and sound. Things are returning to normal for most, other than those directly impacted.

Unfortunately there is no TV in my computer room so last night I took a big pile of scrapbooking stuff into the lounge again so I could watch a DVD with hubby while I worked on a scrap layout haha Ahh well... It was bound to happen. My next work desk image might be the floor again!
